Job Overview: Develop and implement marketing strategies to develop sales leads and prospective customers. This position requires a marketing-savvy, highly-energetic person with a high level of creativity to lead the company’s marketing efforts. This full-time position is based in our Ann Arbor office and reports directly to the President.

Market Overview: The managed data center business is a high-growth, large-market opportunity expected to grow to $13.9 billion by 2011 (source: IT research group, Tier1 Research). Online Tech, Michigan’s largest managed data center operator, is poised to take advantage of the significant growth in demand in across the Midwest.

About Online Tech: Online Tech operates highly secure, SAS-70 audited data centers in southeast Michigan. We help our clients reduce their data center costs, operational risks, and downtime with a full range of colocation and managed dedicated servers.

What We’re Looking For: An “A player” highly-energetic marketing manager, adept in all aspects of B2B marketing with extensive experience in web-based marketing and public relations. We’re looking for candidates who aren’t afraid to work hard to help build the next big Michigan success story.
The successful candidate will be self-directed and possess a bachelor’s degree, at least seven years of hands-on B2B marketing experience in a high-tech field, and excellent writing and project management skills.

Duties:

• Managing and implementing all aspects of our online marketing programs, including website development, SEO, SE, blog, and social media campaigns.
• Developing public relations campaigns and media relationships to drive the visibility of the company, including leading the process of competing for product awards, setting up interviews and speaking opportunities, and writing press releases and related materials.
• Creating and implementing lead-generation campaigns such as direct mail, on-line advertising, e-newsletters, and e-mail promotions.
• Tracking and maximizing the effectiveness and ROI of all marketing campaigns.
• Managing search engine marketing efforts, including developing copy; analyzing key phrases, landing pages, and tracking success rate and costs; and increasing the ROI of the online marketing programs.
• Writing and producing marketing collateral such as data sheets, presentations, and customer success stories.
• Performing other duties as assigned to help the Online Tech team achieve its objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing or technology-related field.
• Seven to ten years of increasing-responsible experience in B2B web-based marketing or public relations.
• Demonstrated, successful track record in developing marketing campaigns and measuring results against objectives.
• Depth and breadth in understanding of the IT industry.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• High proficiency in MS Office tools
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong verbal communications skills.
• Self-motivator with strong work ethic and a “can-do” positive attitude.
• Desire to be a part of the fast-paced, high-energy entrepreneurial experience.
