Description: | Responsibilities:
* Collect and organize information required for the preparation of a variety of military technical publications.
* Research source data, prepare text, develop written material and edit material for technical manuals.
* Participate in the development and integration of art and text during publishing to ensure proper integration of art and text in a logical, accurate, easy-to-read format.
*Provide desktop publishing support in the production of technical manuals, repair parts and special tools lists (RPSTL's), and other technical publications.
* Produce CD's, .pdf files and .tif files as required.
* Follow in-house style guidelines as well as government specs and standards.
Education: Masters Degree, or Bachelors Degree with 2 years experience in technical writing; or without degree, minimum 4 yrs. technical writing experience. prior military a plus.
Experience:
* Must be able to lead and to work in a team
environment.
* Must have excellent working knowledge of PC's to include working with MS Office and Adobe software.
* Working experience with Arbortext, EMS NG or EMS-2 IETM software a plus.
* Must keep working records and files of all material and data used to develop technical data.
* Must provide regular status reports to Manager.
