Collect and organize information required for the preparation of military technical reports, technical publications, and other technical documentation; will be responsible for conferring with technical writers, technical illustrators, and logistic analysts in developing publications; will ensure all deliverables meet contract/customer requirements; will assign tracking sheets to publications and work packages and maintain all hardcopy and electronic files, especially the master copies; will be knowledgeable of the publication processes, including maintaining hardcopies of the latest applicable military specifications and understanding their impact; will be responsible for integrating text, art, and tables into publications; will be responsible for proofreading all materials produced to ensure material meets established standards for format and editorial content, prior to sending to the editor or quality control person; will provide input to develop and maintain project milestone schedules; will be lead for Jr. Desktop Publishers and will be responsible to provide monthly status reports to Program manager as required; will ensure correctness of printing instructions for copy reproduction. Senior Desktop Publisher will have working familiarity with documentation supporting military vehicles and support equipment and should have extensive experience with Military Technical Manuals (TMs), Depot Maintenance Work Requirements (DMWRs), National Maintenance Work Requirements (NMWRs), Maintenance Work Orders (MWOs), and Engineering Improvement Report (EIR) Digest Articles. May be assigned collateral duties in support of other program(s).

Qualifications: |
Education/Experience:
MILITARY/DEFENSE CONTRACTOR EXPERIENCE PREFERRED.
Masters Degree in an appropriate discipline; or Bachelors Degree with two (2) years experience in the field of specialization; or significant experience of four (4) years or more.
Must be able to work in a team environment with customers, Technical Writers, Provisioners, and Logisticians to complete assigned tasks.
Must have working knowledge of PC’s to include working with Microsoft Office and Adobe software products.
