Description: |
This position is responsible for purchasing of electronics related components and materials as required to meet production requirements.
The Purchasing Agent is a key member of the supply chain team. A background in a quick turn manufacturing environment is critical.
Experience in sourcing electronics components such as Resistors, Capacitors, Semiconductors, Connectors, and other related componentry is preferred.
This position will utilize MAX RM ERP system to determine production requirements, issue purchase orders, and schedule materials delivery minimizing total cost of procurement. |
Duties: |
• Research material availability, pricing and lead times.
• Negotiate prices and blanket order contracts.
• Generation of Purchase Orders.
• Submittal of Purchase Orders to vendors.
• Vendor follow up to assure delivery to schedule.
• Expedite orders as needed to insure delivery dates are met.
• Build and maintain partnerships with our vendors and suppliers.

Qualifications: |
• Knowledge of purchasing practices.
• Thorough knowledge of electronic components, vendors, and distributors.
• Ability to work accurately and quickly under operational deadlines.
• Ability to deal with component vendors in an efficient and professional manner.
• Ability to generate reports and schedules with minimum direction.
• Ability to use a Personal Computer, Windows XP/Vista, Microsoft Word / Excel, and Web Browser.
• Experience with MAX RM or other ERP a plus. |
