Description: |
Position works closely with the IT Director and will be responsible for uptime of network resources. In addition he/she will maintain, plan, recommend and implement technology and/or processes in the areas of: network, storage, security and disaster recovery. Will also coordinate with external vendors as required for specific projects.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Networking
 Health monitoring
 Team lead for administration and maintenance
 Security planning and testing
 Strategy for future growth planning
• Telephony
 Team lead for administration and maintenance
 Creation and updating of phone and voicemail extensions and routing
 Future growth planning
• Internal Systems
 Design, implementation and maintenance of systems backup, archiving, storage and disaster recovery
 Team lead for troubleshooting of systems backup, archiving, storage and disaster recovery
 Perform complex troubleshooting of backup, archiving, storage and disaster recovery
 Disaster recovery testing
 Documentation
• Help Desk Administration
 Telephony requests
 Escalated Network issues or requests
 Escalated Storage issues or requests
• Asset Management
 Team lead as it relates to Datacenter and emergency repair needs including HVAC and generator
 Inventory management as it relates
• Training
 Training of IT support staff so they can respond to routine support requests
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to work 45 – 50 hours a week

Technical Skills
• Advanced knowledge of Cisco products and methodology
• Ability to manage and design a Storage Area Network
• Ability to work with virtualized servers
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Systems: Windows, Cisco systems
• Networking: switches, routers, hubs, servers, cables racks, firewall, LAN, WAN, TCIP/IP, VoIP, QOS, MPLS

Qualifications: |
Education and/or Training:
• 10 – 15 years of relevant IT experience
• 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant field
• Possesses or is pursuing a Cisco certification
• Previous experience managing a datacenter
• Previous experience in an office setting
• Comfort level with senior management necessary
